A few weeks ago Pete Faucher and Guillaume Bailly participated in the Québec Méga Trail 48km race in Mont-Saint-Anne. It is a really fun trail event and there are shorter distances for novice trail runners of all levels. It's a nice way to get into trail racing with some technical trails, a bit of mud and a few good climbs. For the 48km event this year, the organizers upped the ante with a climb on one of the steeper ski hills of the mountain for the second loop of the race. Even the fastest runners had to walk this one, 2.5km of steep ascent with grades upwards of 40%. In coming years, this will be the reason runners want to do this race… or not. Comments are closed.
