A few years ago Guillaume Bailly and Lucy Emery ran the TMRB, I remember at the time thinking, hmmm a fall trail race, not for me, too dangerous, too muddy, too slippery. Well after months of trail running and a few races, I thought I would give the 25km a go. In it's 6th year, this is one of the nicer events in Montreal which runs through the numerous hidden trails on Mount Royal, very family friendly with 1k and 3k distances - and 5k, 11k, 16k, 25k and 40k, there is something for everyone. They had over 1200 participants, they give loads of prizes, a nice tech shirt and a Buff... and they have a BBQ after the race and freshly made latte! If you want to give trail running a try, this is the perfect race for it, and it's right here in Montreal. You will need a pair of trail shoes though. :-)
Congratulations to the Phoenix Runners delegation at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon. 11 runners ran the marathon or half marathon on a cool sunday morning, perfect day for
