Congratulations to David Zerkler who ran/jumped/climbed/crawled the Spartan Beast 44km race. This is not for the faint of heart or anyone over 50!!! ;-) Overall, David placed 130 of 188 participants. Good job David!
Congratulations to Alan Miller and Guillaume Bailly who completed the Transrockies Run 2017, a 120 miles, 20,000 feet 6-day stage race. They both did very well and their team garnered 6 silver medals throughout the week. Good job guys! You can read about their race on Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/groups/685340248323624/?fref=nf Congratulations to Raeann Rose who ran the 10km in Lachine and to Peggy Badra and Bruce Glasspoole who ran the half marathon. Kuddos to Peggy who improved her time again in her third half marathon this year, hard work pays off! 10km Half Marathon

Fast times by all! Track workouts are paying off! Congratulations to Elizabeth Mokrusa who ran the Défi Boréal Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue 10k. Liz is on her way back after a long foot injury and clocked in a 41:03 finishing 8th overall and first woman. If you recall, Liz ran a comeback 10k race in May and finished with a time of 43:53. She has managed to cut back almost 3 minutes in less than 3 months, my guess is that she will sub 40 minutes by years end! Liz has a 10k PB of 38:14 set in 2013 which I am betting she will improve in the coming years. Way to go Liz! Kuddos and thank you to the Phoenix runners who volunteered at the Terry Fox water table: Mary Silvaggio, Eddy Nolan, Anna Maria Drouin, Tanya Drouin, Mary Knockwood, Bernie Cornell, Susan Magher and Wayne Quartz. |
