La course Les ASPirants de Repentigny

I was invited by MatRun* from the Repentigny Running Club Les ASPirants to run their inaugural half marathon. The weather was horrible with a huge downpour and high winds most of the race, but I had a great time. So much so, I decided to run the 5km after, luckily the sun came out for that race, but winds were even worse. My legs were still tired from the Barkley Fall Classic and a high volume 175km week last week, but it was a good test of my fitness just in case I decide to run a marathon sometime in the fall. I managed a 9th place finish and 2nd place 50-59 in the half and a 1st place 50-59 finish in the 5k. Fun day with a nice healthy lunch afterwards!
*Many know MatRun from the 100km MRSQ, the tall guy with a beard, great guy!
