It's fun to see that runners are still organizing FAT ASS events in the city. I participated in the Klassique Hachem February 7 with 15 other runners, a 5h FAT ASS organized by Antoine Rochette, a local ultra runner who finished second at the 50K MRSQ last summer. The event was free and runners brought food and drinks for everyone to share. We started at 9am and runners did as many laps up and down the old ski hill behind Polytechnique. 250m of climb, imagine going up the steepest part of KIllah Hillah over and over again for 5 hours! I had hoped to do 3 to 4 hours, and did 5h05 in the end with 45 laps total placing third behind a couple of young guns who did 50 a piece. A great hill-repeat training, and early enough in the Boston training to recuperate well. It's a great spot for anyone who plans on doing trail ultras this summer, I recommend it.
